DePaul Resource Kits: PPE Facemask Headbands
We’ve added another Eventbrite for our next resource kit: Mask Headbands!
When wearing a mask all day, the elastic straps of medical masks can rub away at the skin around ears creating an entry point for infection. In order to help protect our healthcare workers we would like to create headbands that move the points of contact from behind sensitive ears to buttons, therefore preventing discomfort and possible infection. We need your help to do this and it is “sew” easy!
Head over to Eventbrite and grab a ticket if you are interested in receiving a kit that consists of
- basic sewing supplies
- headbands
- and buttons
With these kits you will be able to craft a device that will hold the ends of peoples masks to keep their skin safe. No sewing experience necessary!
We will be constructing these kits with the goal of donating the resulting products to organizations that will supply medical professionals with much needed equipment.
