End of Month Wrapup!

End of Month Wrapup!

We hope you have all had a wonderful July and have enjoyed your summer break so far. As we transition into August, we would just like to take a moment to recap all of the amazing content we covered in July.

Funds + Initiatives

  • The 10k Illuminations Grant for Black Trans Women Visual Artists is a new grant created  to draw “attention to an existing body of work, sheds light on the under-recognized contributions of Black trans women visual artists and provides critical support to their continuing work.”
Applications are open from July 8th to August 30th, with the grant being awarded November 2020. Check the link below if you are interested in applying and for more information. Spread the word!
  • As coronavirus cases continue to rise in the U.S., many communities are in immediate need for PPE masks and important supplies.
“The infection and death rate on the Navajo Nation alone is 10 times higher than the state of Arizona, despite the fact that the tribe reported its first case of Coronavirus 51 days after Arizona. This scenario is playing out all across Indian Country.” We ask those of you who are able to donate to click on the link below and for others to share this post and pass the link along to your communities.
