How To Make Homemade Granola
Granola is tasty, healthy, and pretty versatile. It can be used for many things in the kitchen, such as trail mix, parfaits, and bars. It can even be thrown into the batter for baked goods like pancakes, muffins, and cookies. Personally, I like to eat it like cereal and pour some oat milk over it.
Here’s What You Will Need:
4-5 cups old fashioned oats
Salt
½ cup vegetable or canola oil
¾ cup honey
Handful of shaved almonds (not required but recommended)
Large mixing bowl
Cookie sheet or shallow baking pan
Tupperware
Here’s What To Do:
Start by preheating the oven to 300℉.
Pour 4-5 cups of oats into a large mixing bowl. Add a dash of salt, ½ cup of oil, and ¾ of honey. Add a handful of almonds and mix it up thoroughly. Then spread the mixture evenly on the cookie sheet or baking pan.
Bake for 30-40 minutes, taking the sheet out every 10 minutes to mix the granola. This will ensure that the granola is evenly baked.
Once it is baked (I found that 40 minutes was best), let it cool for a bit before scraping it off the pan into the tupperware. You should have enough granola to last you a while, enjoy!
